A relatively new product from Majesty Metals and 
Manufacturing, the STW-1T Stalwart represents the 
Magistracy of Canopus's first successful home-grown 
BattleMech design.  The concept behind the Stalwart is 
much the same as that of the Capellan Vindicatior; to 
produce a solid, rugged and versatile 'Mech that can be 
manufactured in considerable numbers.
     The first of five prototypes emerged from Majesty's 
Dunianshire manufacturing facility on May 6th 3032 and 
was immediately subjected 18 months of rigorous testing.  
The Majestrix herself oversaw the tests, and was 
reportedly quite pleased with the results.  Due to 
numberous problems with the lostech machining 
equipment,  general produduction was delayed for 
months and did not commence until February of 3035.
     In order to take advantage of pre-existing stores, much 
of the Stalwart's equipment has been culled from the 
Shadow Hawk.  In order to maintain a high level of 
production,  Majesty Metals & Manufacturing as of yet has 
made no plans to incorporate recovered technology into 
the design.
