Named after the legendary battle against the Clans, the
TWY-1 Twycross is a new heavy OmniMech design from
Bowie Industries. With top speeds that match Clan
'Mechs of the same weight class, the Twycross is
intended to replace aging 'Mech designs (such as the
Thuderbolt and Archer) in front-line Lyran units.
Though not posessed of incredible firepower, the
OmniMech construction allows for unmatched versatility.
Bowie's Carlisle Archer assembly line is being retooled to
produce the new designs, and the Alarion and Wyatt
plants may soon follow suit. It is hoped that the Twycross
will inspire Lyran troops to liberate the 'Mechs namesake
planet, as well as all other occupied Lyran worlds.
